Mobile trailer mounted Steam Boiler system
Challenge
The unit had to be mobile, carry a weight exceeding 60,000 kg, and travel in Saharan areas on unpaved tracks.
Numerous spatial constraints (length, width and height of trailers, etc.) were imposed.
Approach
Technical review of the tender specifications to then source and build a partnership with a manufacturer able to offer a tailor-made solution for the customer.

Supply, installation and start-up of a mobile boiler. 5000 kg/h capacity, 20 bar, 230°C superheated steam
Customer technical constraints
In order to carry out degassing, inerting, cleaning and degreasing operations of oily installations (storage tanks, columns, separators, exchangers), the customer wishes to purchase a steam boiler mounted in a container that operates at a maximum operating pressure of 20 bar and a maximum operating temperature of 230°C.
It will be used in Saharan and Mediterranean areas (temperatures from -5°C to 55°C) and on unpaved roads in very harsh climatic conditions (sandy winds and high temperatures).
Arados proposal
The entire project (from design, GA, P&IDs, etc. to delivery at the required port) was supervised by Arados.
Several precautionary solutions were installed for safety: water softening units, motor pumps operating in redundancy, safety valves operating mechanically at 21 bar, etc.
Technical training, both theoretical and practical, commissioning and start-up were all provided as part of the service required by the contract.
